Our children and youth are the church of today. We know they are called to reach their generation. We offer teaching through the Word and encouraging them to follow the character of Christ.

Chicago Mission Trip

Every third Sunday of the month, we have what we call Missions Sunday. We discuss a local or foreign mission and then take up a second offering dedicated to that mission. For the last two months, we have focused on the same mission. We asked for donation items or monetary offerings, which were t

hen used to purchase items.

The mission we have been focusing on is The Guest House Chicago. The Guest House builds community and healing by providing comfortable, affordable accommodation for patients and their families throughout their treatment. Their vision is for patients and families seeking treatment away from home to have access to caring, comfortable, and affordable accommodation.

They are the only organization in the Chicago area that supports patients of any age, receiving any type of treatment. They offer 47 fully furnished apartments, with one or 2 bedrooms, a separate living room, kitchen, and private bath, with free cable TV and wi-fi included.

Guest House provides the comforts of home and much more. They offer the care of the community, reducing the feelings of isolation that many families experience during a medical crisis.

They offer an amazing service that more people need to know about. They are a wonderful group of people who are pouring their hearts into people from all over the country.

We were blessed to be able to take a trip to Chicago on Friday and visit The Guest House. We brought them the items that we had collected and also the 50 welcome bags that our women’s group put together. We got to tour the facility, hear awesome stories and even hang some welcome bags on doors for guests. We all left there in awe and wonder. I am sure this will not be our last trip there.

Youth At New Beginnings Church

At New Beginnings of Hoopeston Church, we believe in the teachings and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. As such, we are committed to sharing his love for our family, friends, neighbors and others. We strive to teach the Word of God and spiritually transform lives and communities for the glory of God. (Matt.22:37-39; 28:19-20)
